Yummy,Asian Cottage Roll Sandwich!
Asian Cottage Roll Sandwich
Serves 8
Cottages roll cooking
2 lbs. cottage roll
8 tbsp. hoisin sauce
Spread hoisin sauce on cottage roll
Place in baking pan and put 3 cups of water in pan
Bake at 350 for 1 ½ hours or (in pressure cooker for 50 minutes)
Remove from pan and place in plastic sealable bag. Pour liquid into bag and place in fridge. (Can be used immediately if required)
Cabbage slaw
2 cups shredded cabbage
½ cup shredded carrots
½ cup white vinegar
¼ cup vegetable oil
½ tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
Mix well and let sit for 30 minutes
Sandwich ingredients
8 slices cooked bacon
Coleslaw (drained for 5 minutes in colander)
Cooked cottage roll
8 buns or 16 slices thick crusty bread (large loaf)
8 tbsp. butter melted
Preparation
Butter on side of the bread/ bun and toast in oven or in pan.
Slice cottage roll into thin sliced
Place 2-3 slices of cottage roll
Place drained coleslaw on top of meat.
Top with bacon slices
Place bread/ bun on top
Serve immediately.
