Bring Breakfast to a new Level! Skillet Apple Pancakes!

Apple Pancake

Serve 6-8

Ingredients

The topping

6 apples peeled and sliced ¼ inch thick

1 ½ cups chopped walnuts

½ lb. butter

1/3 cup white sugar

In pan on medium heat melt butter and add remaining ingredients. Sauté for 10 minutes until butter and sugar mixture begins to foam when stirred. Set aside and make batter.

Batter ingredients

2 cups bread flour

1/3 cup white sugar

1 Tbsp. baking powder

½ tsp. salt

3 eggs

1 ½ cups table cream

1 tbsp. pure vanilla extract

Zest of 1 orange and juice of 1 orange

½ of the sautéed apple, butter and walnut mixture

Preparation

Mix dry ingredients .Mix wet ingredients. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients.

Mix with wooden spoon until batter comes together. (batter will be stick and not runny, more like a dough)Add ½ of the sautéed apple, butter and walnut mixture. Mix well. Put batter on top of apple walnut mixture in the pan. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. To flip pancake place a large plate, serving side down facing the pancake. Flip plate and pan at the same time. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top and drizzle maple syrup on top of pancake.
