How to Make Delicious Vegetarian Burgers

Ingredients:

Vegetarian Burger:

  • 16 oz mushrooms , roughly chopped

  • 7 oz carrots, roughly chopped

  • 6 oz broccoli no stem, roughly chopped

  • 4.5oz onion, roughly chopped

  • 1/2 tbsp paprika

  • 1/2 tbsp chili powder

  • 1/2 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp fresh ground black pepper

  • 2 19 oz cans of black beans, drained and rinsed

  • 4.5 oz fresh spinach, roughly chopped

  • 0.1 oz fresh chives, roughly chopped

  • 0.2 oz fresh parsley, roughly chopped

  • 6 oz pan corn flour

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

  • 3.5 cups brown rice steam cooked

  • 8 oz. walnuts

  • 8 oz. oil

    Preparation

    put onions carrots in food processor and pulse 10 times. Add broccoli pulse 10 times. This should be very finely minced. Removed from food processor and

    place in large mixing bowl.

    Put mushrooms in food processor and pulse 5 times scrape down bowl. Pulse 5 more times remove and add to onion carrot and broccoli mixture

    place minced onions, mushrooms, carrots, broccoli onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Evenly spread mixture over the entire pan and bake in oven

    at 350 F for 15 minutes.

    Cool baked vegetables at room temperature for 30 minutes

    Evenly spread beans on baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 350 F for 15 minutes. Remove and cool for 30 minutes

    Place spinach in food processor with walnuts, parsley and chives. Pulse for 30 seconds, Scrape bowl. Pulse for another 30 seconds. Should look like

     bread crumbs.

    Put beans in food processor and pulse until beans look like large bread crumbs.

    Put 1/2 of cooked brown rice in food processor and pulse 5 times. Remove and add remaining brown rice and repeat.

    Place all ingredients into large mixing bowl and mix for 3 minutes until all ingredients are mixed together.

    On a baking sheet place a clean cloth towel. Evenly spread mixture onto towel. Cover mixture with another clean cloth towel. Place in fridge for 24 hours.

    Remove and form patties.

    In a hot pan add 1 tbsp. oil brown patty on both sides for 1 minute. Cook patty in 350 F oven for 12 minutes.

     

    BBQ Instructions

     

    Cook patty in 350 F oven for 12 minutes. Then grill on BBQ.

  • 1lb. scale

  • 2 Large mixing bowls

  • Non-stick frying pan

  • Parchment paper

  • Large kitchen towel
