The Weather is Warming up and so is the BBQ! Make Delicious BBQ Asian Chicken!

Asian BBQ Chicken

Makes 12 chicken thighs

Ingredients

1/3 cup Montreal Steak Spice

2 tsp. Chinese 5 spice

¼ cup garlic powder

1 tbsp. Fresh Black Pepper

1/3 cup paprika

1 cup corn syrup

2 star anise

1 cup dried vegetable soup flakes

1 tsp. sesame oil

1/3 cup soya sauce

8 cups hot tap water

Preparation

Add all ingredients except chicken into a large sealable container (Tupperware or something similar)mix for 1 minute. Add chicken and let sit in liquid for 1 hour at room temperature. Put in fridge for 4 hours or overnight. Remove chicken from liquid and remove any vegetable soup flakes from chicken.

Set the BBQ to high heat and let heat for 15 minutes or until BBQ is 400 F. Place chicken skin side up on the middle section of BBQ and turn off middle section of BBQ. (in-direct grilling) Cook chicken for 40-45 minutes until chicken is 175 F. Remove chicken from BBQ and serve.
