Make your own Egg Rolls for Chinese New Years!

  Egg Rolls

Makes 18 egg rolls

Ingredients

1 package egg roll wrappers ( 18 sheets )

1 tbsp. oil

3 cloves garlic chopped fine

4 green onions sliced thin

1 tbsp. fresh ginger chopped fine

½ red pepper chopped fine

1 onion chopped fine

½ lb ground pork or beef

½  bag ( 170)g pre-cut coleslaw

2 cups bean sprouts washed and drained

1 ½ tsp. salt

½ tsp. black pepper freshly ground

3 tbsp. soya sauce

1 tsp. sesame oil

1 tbsp. all-purpose flour

2-4 quart oil for frying

Flour Glue

½ cup cold water, ½ cup all-purpose flour. Mix together until you have a paste

Preparation of Filling

Add 1 tbsp. oil to 4 quart sauce pan on medium heat. Add ground beef or pork and cook for 3 minutes stirring so meat cooks evenly.  Add garlic, ginger, onions, peppers, green onions and cook for 2 minutes. Add soya sauce, sesame oil and pre-cut coleslaw. Cook for 2 minutes. Add flour and cook 1 minute. Turn off and remove from heat. Add bean sprouts and mix all ingredients together. Let cool for 10 minutes
