Make Dulce de Leche from Scratch using your Pressure Cooker!

Dulce de Leche

It is great on cheese cake and ice cream.

It is safe to open the can when you can hold it for 1 minute in your hand. If it is to hot wait until you can hold for 1 minute.

Place a can of sweetened condensed milk on its side on rack of the pressure cooker.  Fill the pressure cooker with water until can is covered ensuring you do not exceed the limit of liquid the pressure can hold. Set the pressure cooking time for 40 minutes. When cooking time has finished release the steam and carefully remove the can. Place can on heat resistant pad and let cool for 3 hours or longer.  Do not open until can has cooled down because the can is under pressure. If opened before that it will explode out of the can.
